Three steps from beginner to baker

No culinary school debt. No years of trial and error. We compress what we learned building a multi-shop donut operation into a focused, hands-on program.

1

Train

Learn the full craft — dough, proofing, frying, glazing, finishing — inside working Golden Glaze kitchens, on real production schedules, taught by the bakers who run them.

2

Graduate

Get certified on the Golden Glaze production system: recipes, food safety, volume production, and the operating standards we use across every shop.

3

Choose your path

Graduates get first look at paid baker positions across our growing shop network — or can pursue the operator track toward running a Golden Glaze store.

Two ways to turn the skill into income

Most schools hand you a certificate and wish you luck. We built the academy because we need bakers and operators — your graduation is where our relationship starts, not ends.

Path 01 — Get hired

The Baker Path

Step into a paid baker role at one of our DFW shops.

  • Graduates get priority interviews as we scale from 7 to 10 shops
  • Start earning with a skill that's in demand every single morning
  • Keep growing — shift lead, head baker, shop management
Path 02 — Own it

The Operator Path

Train toward running a Golden Glaze store of your own.

  • Learn the full operating playbook — production, staffing, cash control
  • Qualified graduates get the opportunity to operate or franchise a store
  • Backed by the systems already running across our shop network

We're opening shops faster than we can find bakers

Golden Glaze runs 7 donut shops across DFW, on the way to 10 by year-end. Every new shop needs trained bakers — and donut making is a craft that nobody formally teaches. So we decided to teach it ourselves.

The academy is how we grow our own bench: train people the right way, in our kitchens, on our systems — then give the best graduates a real path to a job or a store of their own.

You're not paying for a certificate to hang on a wall. You're training inside a growing operation that wants to hire you when you're done.

The model is proven — just not in donuts. Cosmetology academies feed salons. Real estate schools feed brokerages. Med spa academies feed clinics. Training pipelines that end in real jobs are how skilled industries grow. We're bringing that model to the donut shop.

FAQ

Do I need any baking experience?
No. The program is built for beginners. If you can show up early, work with your hands, and take the craft seriously, we can teach you the rest.
How long is the program?
Cohorts run for several weeks of hands-on training inside working Golden Glaze kitchens. Exact schedules are shared when you apply — early mornings are part of the deal (that's when donuts happen).
How much does it cost?
Program details and tuition are shared with applicants. Cohorts are intentionally small, so apply and we'll walk you through everything on a call.
Am I guaranteed a job or a store?
Graduates get priority consideration for baker roles as we grow, and qualified graduates can pursue the operator track. We're straight with people: performance matters. What we guarantee is real training, in real kitchens, from a team that's actively hiring.
Where does training happen?
In our production kitchens across Dallas–Fort Worth. This isn't a classroom with a projector — you'll be on the floor making product that gets sold that morning.
