Three steps from beginner to baker

A fraction of the time and cost of culinary school. No years of trial and error. We compress what we learned building a multi-shop donut operation into a focused, hands-on program.

1

Train

Learn the full craft — dough, proofing, frying, glazing, finishing — inside working Golden Glaze kitchens, on real production schedules, taught by the bakers who run them.

2

Graduate

Get certified on the Golden Glaze production system: recipes, food safety, volume production, and the operating standards we use across every shop.

3

Choose your path

Top graduates get priority interviews for paid baker positions across our growing shop network — or can join the waitlist for a future operator track.

Where the skill takes you

Most schools hand you a certificate and wish you luck. We built the academy because we need great bakers — your graduation is where our relationship starts, not ends.

Path 01 — Get hired

The Baker Path

Interview for paid baker roles at our DFW shops.

  • Top graduates get priority interviews as we scale from 7 to 10 shops
  • Leave with a skill that's in demand every single morning
  • Room to grow — shift lead, head baker, shop management
Path 02 — Waitlist

The Operator Track (coming later)

A future program for graduates interested in the business side. Not currently open — waitlist only.

  • Learn the full operating playbook — production, staffing, cash control
  • Join the waitlist and you'll be the first to hear when details are announced
  • No commitments, no payments — just a heads-up when it opens

We're opening shops faster than we can find bakers

Golden Glaze runs 7 donut shops across DFW, on the way to 10 by year-end. Every new shop needs trained bakers — and donut making is a craft that nobody formally teaches. So we decided to teach it ourselves.

The academy is how we grow the craft: train people the right way, in our kitchens, on our systems — and give the best graduates first shot at the roles we're hiring for as we grow.

Your tuition isn't buying a certificate to hang on a wall. It's buying training inside a growing operation that hires its best graduates.

The model is proven — just not in donuts. Cosmetology academies feed salons. Real estate schools feed brokerages. Med spa academies feed clinics. Training pipelines that end in real jobs are how skilled industries grow. We're bringing that model to the donut shop.

FAQ

Do I need any baking experience?
No. The program is built for beginners. If you can show up early, work with your hands, and take the craft seriously, we can teach you the rest.
How long is the program?
Cohorts run for several weeks of hands-on training inside working Golden Glaze kitchens. Exact schedules are shared when you apply — early mornings are part of the deal (that's when donuts happen).
How much does it cost?
The academy is tuition-based — you're investing in professional training, the same way you would at a trade school or culinary program. Exact tuition and payment options are shared with applicants on a call. Cohorts are intentionally small, so apply and we'll walk you through everything.
Am I guaranteed a job?
No — and be wary of any program that promises one. Top graduates get priority interviews for baker roles as we grow, and we built the academy because we're actively hiring. The operator track isn't open yet — the waitlist just means you'll hear first when details are announced. What we guarantee is real training, in real kitchens, from the team that runs them.
Where does training happen?
In our production kitchens across Dallas–Fort Worth. This isn't a classroom with a projector — you'll be on the floor making product that gets sold that morning.
